Product Manager - Market and Grid Services

The market has begun to regard storage as critical path to future commercial and industrial energy strategies.  As such, Stem's entering into the growth phase of our vision: strategically leveraging our experience in aggregation of the assets we operate and driving into new wholesale energy markets.  While doing this, we will build upon our successful grid level programs with utilities, creating a truly transformational technology platform that will enable the services required to bring the highest possible value to all market participants and C&I energy consumers.  In this role you will focus on driving clarity and confidence in the roadmap for our expanding suite of grid services and energy market interactions. Drive priorities around market/grid services, focusing on the end to end lifecycle, the necessary technology and program support required. Drive an innovative developer/partner experience around market/grid services. Translate product strategy into necessary Themes, Epics and Stories, providing detailed requirements; mock-up prototypes when necessary. Martial day-to-day application of priorities and resulting trade-offs with internal partner teams (sw engineering/test) and stakeholders. Bring a deep understanding of the energy market ecosystem and its stakeholders - serve as a subject matter expert for the company. Adhere to data-driven decision-making, using direct partner, customer, regulatory interaction as the primary vehicle for qualitative data in conjunction with the quantitative. Carefully balance customer face-time with maintaining and supporting operational momentum. Drive buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners. Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer value. Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with proof-of-concept prototypes, quick time-to-market and optimal resources. Drive product launches including working with marketing team, executives, service delivery and other product team members. Required Skills Proven, impactful work experience in shaping electric market/grid services strategy for North American markets. Proven track record of successfully managing significant market/grid services program OR delivery of technology supporting such programs -  at all stages of their lifecycle. Real, demonstrable passion around energy markets and ability to determine the pain points addressable by energy storage. Fluency in Agile concepts, preferably Scrum and/or Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), and track record of effectively applying those concepts. Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done. Skill at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization. Empathy driven excellence in communication skills, verbal and written, mindful of audience. Nice to Have: Experience developing solutions for global power markets, including UK, Europe and Asia. Experience developing solutions to monetize multiple distributed energy resources including solar, wind and storage. Working understanding of electric power trading and risk management. Experience delivering energy market services via partner channels. Public speaking and a track record of representing your organization and industry events. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
