1078 - MEP Inspector - SFO Hotel

Title: MEP Inspector SFO Hotel Location: San Francisco, CA Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering is a plus Relevant Work Experience: 3+ years PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. has a proud and lengthy history of delivering innovative, challenging, and complex projects. PGH Wong has an opportunity for a qualified MEP Inspector to provide design review and MEP systems inspection on a major luxury hotel project. The selected candidate will work with the firm's Project Management team representing the Owner.
Major Responsibilities:
Become intimately familiar with MEP, Low Voltage/Telco and Controls drawings and specifications.
Field observations as assigned to verify adherence of construction activities to contract documents, sustainability requirements, engineering standards, hotel brand standards, Owner's facilities standards, and applicable codes.
Preparation of daily reports on work progress, labor and equipment documentation, and any quality concerns or issues.
Assist with field activity monitoring as required.
Coordinate as needed with various Stakeholder groups including the Hotel Operator.
Qualifications and Experience
3+ years of related work experience is required.
Understanding of construction means and methods, construction scheduling and sequencing is required.
Knowledge of the principles and interactivity of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, AV, and Low Voltage/Telecommunications and Controls systems is required.
Familiarity with high-rise hospitality projects is desired but not required.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering is a plus.
Valid California driver's license.
Skills and Competencies
Potential to perform in a lead capacity.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be proficient in the use of Excel and MSWord.
Ability to interpret Mechanical, Electrical, AV, Low Voltage/Telecommunications and Controls systems drawings.
Ability to work in a cooperative team environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
